We were very blessed to have the Buettner family this morning to share with us. They are visiting the USA from their home in Indonesia where the Lord has called them to the Mission Field. Gerhard is a pilot and aircraft mechainc. He provided a slide show and talked about the vastness and diversity of the Christian Mission in Indonesia. The Buettners are one of the missionary familys that we here at Calvary Chapel Half Moon Bay support.

I am not sure if you got my first email. But here is the best update. We had an uneventful and lllooonnnggg flight but arrived in Bangkok safely. The first two days were mostly tourist things which included doing some shopping for warm jackets for kids and the elderly at the group home we are at now...

PUMA (Pennsylvania United Medical Association) is a 501c-3 non-profit organization. Our main area of work is in Nepal among the poorest of poor in remote villages. Medical needs are provided through three full time Health Clinics which provide medical care for those who have little or none. Health Awareness classes are held frequently by staff members from both the U.S. and Nepal. PUMA also donates equipment and medical supplies. In the rural villages we distribute computers and school supplies in Nepal's Tauahun, Lamjung and Gorkha Districts, We also provide remote communities with health care through our mobile health clinics.

Missionaries are planting tribal churches to reach people who have never had a single opportunity to hear the Good News. Our vision is for every tribe to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel.
Our church is currently supporting Gerhard and Christina Buettner and their two children. A New Tribes Mission family in Indonesia. The following is a link to a letter from the Buettners, that Pastor Brian read from the pulpit.
